Description: RMR started broadcasting in 1981 via landlines to the campus cafeteria and University residences, with close ties to Capitol Radio 604 and Talk Radio 702. In 1995 the then IBA granted RMR a broadcast licence. RMR steeped in history birthing some of the most prolific media celebrities of today. A station with a proud broadcast history, RMR has been and still is a pioneer within the radio industry in South Africa.
