Ayanda held its world premiere screening at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival winning the Special Jury Prize in the World Fiction Competition and was recently bought by Ava Duvernay for US distribution.
Mugovhani got her big break after being cast as Nala in an international production of the Lion King. During that period, Mugovhani resided in Hong Kong for a year and a half. She is best known for her roles in e.tv soapie, Scandal, as Anzani, and as Nikki in the Mzansi Magic musical comedy-drama television miniseries, Remix.
