SoccerLife Magazine has teamed up with some local soccer heroes to give back to the children of CHOC. CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation is a country wide voluntary organisation bringing together the parents of children who suffer from all varieties of cancer and related blood disorders.

Members of the Mamelodi Sundowns side as well as members of the Supersport United outfit, teamed up to visit the children of CHOC by replacing suffering with warmth, excitement and plenty of gifts.

Shaun Smith, SoccerLife magazine’s Marketing Manager said, “With the growing success of the magazine we find ourselves in a position where we are able to help those that are less fortunate than ourselves.”

Arlene Zlotnick, JHB Fundraiser for CHOC said, “The players have been wonderful – having photos taken, playing in the games and giving advice to the children. Thank you to SoccerLife Magazine for organising an event in which these troubled children can forget about their worries and get stuck into an afternoon of fun and games. I would also like to thank Giant Inflatables for providing their equipment free of charge, and I hope that there are more organisations out there that follow SoccerLife’s example of getting involved, giving back and making a difference.”

Smith concurs, “The players have been quite refreshing and have displayed true professionalism in every sense of the word. SoccerLife is honoured and proud to be associated with those willing to give of their time, love and energy to those most in need.”
