Thousands of party-goers flocked to Sandra Road from 18:00 and by the time Veranda Panda came on at 20:00, the crowd was full and the Shap Shap was flowing. Das Kapital and Kyle Worde got everyone going with their energetic sets with electronic DJ duo Goldfish welcoming in the New Year and knocking it out of the park with their stream of crowd-pleasing hits. Pascal and Pearce followed and Royal K closed the dance floor at 03:00. With three additional dance floors to choose from, there were plenty of genres for revellers to choose from.

Now in its 11th year, the event has cemented its place as being one of the top NYE events in Africa and the pride of Durban’s North Coast.

Of course, all great parties need great partners, so big ups to Shap Shap Crafted Premium Cider and Red Square Reload for the thirst-quenching fun.

You can relive it all by checking out photos on the New Year’s Eve South Africa Facebook page.
