Channel Manager Naz Khan says, “We’re excited that through this move, Glow will be accessible to an even wider audience. South Africans, from all backgrounds, are becoming more enthusiastic about ‘eastern’ content. We believe the vibrancy, passion, and family-centric nature of Glow’s shows are alluring.”
StarSat is a South African satellite pay TV service run by On Digital Media (ODM) and China's StarTimes Media SA. Ian Woodrow, head of Content at StarSat has welcomed the addition of Glow to their platform, “Glow, with its broad appeal and exciting line-up, is bound to be a hit with StarSat audiences. The channels will be available as part of the StarSat Special package.”
Khan says new viewers have lots to look forward to, “As a result of viewer feedback, Glow now has back to back soapies from 17:30 to 22:00 every weekday. This month viewers can look forward to a brand new soapie,
Saras, which follows a young man who falls in love with the girl of his dreams. But his domineering father and manipulative step mother threaten to ruin their relationship.”
