The Message Trust South Africa invites the public and corporates alike to join them for their third annual 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday, 29 October.

The South African branch of the internationally-founded non-profit organisation commenced operations from Cape Town as of 2014 and is committed to raising up generations of Urban Heroes. These are young people who have abandoned a life of gangsterism, crime and hopelessness in favour of becoming positive role models in society.

Since 2014, they have tested their various programme models, monitored progress, engaged stakeholders and partners and are now confident that they can scale up to impact greater numbers of young people. The Message Trust South Africa strives to emulate the 25 years experience of their partner charity in the UK, in working with marginalised young urban people.

The Message Trust South Africa will be climbing the Cape Town 3 Peaks (Table Mountain, Devil's Peak and Lion's Head) to raise funds for their mission to impact hard-to-reach young people. Each team will be led by an ex-offender who will tell their stories of transformation and why they are part of this inspiring movement.

The 3 Peaks Challenge is a registered campaign on GivenGain. The Message Trust South Africa is looking for 50 climbers to help raise funds by signing up on GivenGain as activists to reach the total target of R100 000. Each activist is asked to raise a minimum of R2000 through this platform so that we can see all our activist efforts reflected on our campaign.
