Tribeca was the only African public relations agency to feature in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) report’s results, and 2017 was the second year in a row for the agency to feature in the top five.

“We consider Tribeca being a finalist in the 'Best Agency to Work For' by The Holmes Report to be a great independent benchmark of our culture and workplace performance, in an industry whose primary asset remains its people,” says Cian Mac Eochaidh, co-owner of Tribeca Public Relations.

The Holmes Report asks employees in PR agencies across EMEA to complete a comprehensive anonymous questionnaire that gathers information about various aspects of their working environments. Employee views are sought on topics ranging from the integrity of senior management to the quality of professional development, from empowerment and risk-taking to compensation.

The review highlighted Tribeca’s focus on its ‘people first’ principle and highlighted initiatives including capacity management, lieu time compensation for overtime worked, flexibility for personal or family reasons, life-coaching, direct access to management, and its small-team structure. It emphasised the importance of this during a period of personnel growth in the agency to a total of 25 employees.

“The fact that Tribeca has been recognised in this way as a direct result of feedback from our consultants makes it even more meaningful,” he adds. “This reinforces our ethos that ‘happy people equals happy clients which equal happy business’.”

The accolade follows the independent agency’s recent wins at the 2017 PRISM Awards, where it won Campaign of the Year with Retroviral for its work on the RocoMamas '#ElectionBurger' campaign, as well as an additional two Gold and two Silver awards across various categories.
