The awards aimed to celebrate women who are all at the top of their game in the entrepreneurial, corporate and professional sphere.

Since opening its doors three years ago, 20 Across has made a name for itself as being one of South Africa’s top PR and talent management agencies, representing South Africa personalities consisting of Chef Zola Nene, Zo Brown, Katlego Maboe, Aqeelah Harron-Ally and Jimmy Nevis.

The theme for the 2018 awards was ‘Economy of Women’, and Degli Esposti says she could not be more thrilled that there is a platform to empower strong businesswomen.

"It’s incredible to be in the same room with other passionate businesswomen, supporting each other, networking and, ultimately, strengthening our successes," says Degli Esposti.

The Cape Town branch of the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa chose 17 finalists from 83 entries. Nominees were required to tick boxes across financials, staff contingent, CSI, innovation, job creation and entrepreneurial spirit.

"Having worked hard to make a success of my [PR and talent management] business in more ways than one, winning this award means so much to me," adds Degli Esposti.

"Most importantly, I want every aspiring young female entrepreneur out there to know that if you dream it, work hard for it and love it, only great things will come of it," she concludes.
