The lodge was founded in 1982 by the Niven family, descendants of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, and is owned and managed by the non-profit conservation organisation, the Caleo Foundation.
The reimagining and refurbishment of Jock Safari Lodge were executed to remain within the style of a traditional safari lodge. The main lodge offers 12 secluded suites, each with a private deck, outdoor bath and plunge pool and an enclosed sala.
Within the same concession, Fitzpatrick’s at Jock is also undergoing a revamp and will re-open on Thursday, 1 November as a small, private lodge catering for families or small groups of six guests travelling together.
