Additionally, Engage Communications says that its '#CarrefourBlackNovember' campaign, executed in partnership with Carrefour Kenya, earned two Certificates of Excellence, securing finalist positions in the Social Media Campaign and Digital Campaign of the Year categories.

The 2025 SABRE Awards Africa, recognising Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation and Engagement, attracted over 500 entries from across the continent, with more than 120 campaigns shortlisted. The winners were awarded at the 36th annual African Public Relations Association (APRA) conference held at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Centre and Spa in Mombasa, Kenya, says the agency.

"These accolades are a testament to the creativity, passion and strategic depth that our team brings to every project," says Engage Communications Managing Partner, Desiree Gomes. "Winning at the SABRE Awards underscores our commitment to delivering impactful campaigns that resonate deeply with our clients' audiences and achieve outstanding business outcomes."

Engage Communications says it has previously won the SABRE Awards Africa in 2022, where the agency's '#ItsUpToUs' campaign with Mastercard Foundation clinched victories in both the Eastern Africa and Digital Campaign of the Year categories, subsequently becoming the second runner-up for the Platinum SABRE Award for Best in Show and ranking as the 27th best PR campaign globally at the Global SABRE Awards.

The agency concludes that it continues to leverage strategic storytelling, digital innovation and stakeholder engagement to shape compelling narratives and drive measurable impact.
