The Pink Loerie Foundation announces its launching of the 'Mahindra Rise — The Blanket Drive', in memory of the late Pink Loerie Committee Member, Ri-Han de Jager-Craven, whose passion for compassion continues to inspire. The initiative is presented in partnership with Fastway Couriers (its official logistics partner), ETC Pub Centurion, People of South Africa Foundation NPC, We are South Africans, Ways of Walking Foundation, Maraai se Sop Kombuis and Friends, and Partners and Society NPC, says the foundation.

Handmade quilt (150cm by 200cm) is crafted to provide not just physical warmth but to restore a sense of dignity and humanity to someone in need. These are not just blankets — they are symbols of solidarity, adds the foundation.

The foundation's goal is to craft 4 500 blankets, for 4 500 individuals. Every R200 donation provides a high-quality handmade quilt to someone who needs it most. The foundation calls on the public's help to make this happen.

Individuals are encouraged to make a donation through Zapper, or via BackaBuddy.
