Instinctif Partners Africa has announced the completion of a management buyout from the group, and the launch of its new brand, Narrate.
After over 25 years as part of Instinctif's international network, Narrate is embarking on a new independent era. The buyout is led by Rachel Quigley, Managing Partner, who has over two decades of experience at international agencies, including Brunswick and Edelman, having led Instinctif Partners Africa since 2023, says the company.
The Narrate leadership team includes industry stalwarts, Elizabeth Ferreira, Head of Corporate Communications and Jeanette Grove, Head of Digital Content and Creative, with more than 40 years of combined industry experience, together with Kenneth Mokgabudi (Digital Strategy) and Kwanele Mdletshe (Financial Communications), adds the company.
The Maharishi Invincibility Institute (MII), a non-profit educational institution and proven leader in youth education and empowerment, will continue as a significant black economic empowerment shareholder through its Black Female Education Trust. This new partnership will continue advancing MII's educational mission and reflects Narrate's commitment to uplift previously disadvantaged South African youth for generations to come, says the company.
Rachel Quigley adds, "Crafting and choreographing stories to bring brands and businesses to life is at the heart of what we do. In our next independent chapter as Narrate we look forward to being more agile, innovative, and deeply rooted in Africa, its people, and its passions. As we leave the Instinctif group, we'd like to extend our appreciation to the leadership team and our former colleagues."
Dr Taddy Blecher, CEO and Co-Founder of the Maharishi Invincibility Institute, says, "We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the business as it enters an exciting new chapter. Our relationship with Narrate's predecessors has always been rooted in shared values around developing young leaders and expanding opportunities for previously disadvantaged South Africans. We look forward to supporting the team as they build the Narrate brand and take the business to new heights."
Narrate will continue to support leading international brands and prominent African businesses across strategic corporate and financial communication, reputation management, digital marketing and creative content throughout Southern Africa and beyond, concludes the company.
