JWT Johannesburg in soapy suds for Mandela Day

JWT Johannesburg found the perfect anecdote to wash away the World Cup blues, whilst giving 67 minutes of its time on Mandela Day. The team offered to wash clothes for an orphanage in Tembisa.
Annie Lazarevski, Account Director at JWT Johannesburg says, “Initially we had decided to help paint Nkosi’s Haven in Berea, but as they were well supported we ended up having over 67 minutes of good clean soapy fun at the Siyazigabisa orphanage in Tembisa during this wonderful worthy day.”
“Before we went we printed t-shirts with the slogan ‘JWT: we give more than time’, which we all wore on Mandela Day,” she says.
The orphanage was in desperate need of a spring clean and whilst others busied themselves with painting and gardening, the JWT Johannesburg team got down and dirty amongst the soaps and the suds washing and scrubbing the orphan’s clothes.
