The now two-day long FamFest will be taking place at the Constantia Sports Complex from Saturday, 30 November to Sunday, 1 December and sees an impressive few additions to its happenings including Sporting Chance, Jellybean Events, DRUMKiDZ, the UPliftment Programme’s Care Clowns, stilt walkers and face painters, and the well-known MAfrika. Also adding to the festivities are live performances by headliners The Rockerfellas and Me & Mr Brown.

Kaye will be talking ‘Mood Foods for Kids’ on Saturday, 30 November at 11:00. Her talk will answer the primary question: Are mood swings a reflection of an underlying biochemical imbalance caused by poor nutrition? Areas include:

- The blood sugar rollercoaster;
- Optimum nutrition for a happy and healthy child;
- Building neurotransmitters with food: messenger molecules of the brain and nervous system;
- Why some foods are bad for neurotransmitters; and
- Concentration, ADD and ADHD.

This talk – which is aligned with FamFest’s child-friendly values - will offer practical solutions, and promises to get every parent thinking about their child’s health.

Kaye will be speaking from her very experienced backround. She obtained her degree in Nutritional Therapy through the British College of Nutrition and Health, and Greenwich University in London. She is a Professional Member of the South African Association for Nutritional Therapy (SAANT). She sits on the Panel of Experts for Natural Medicine and is on the Advisory Board for Living and Loving.

Tickets for FamFest are available for purchase via Quicket or at the gate. There will be free entry for children under two years and all entertainment will be included in the ticket price.
