Gasa, who is a prominent and distinguished researcher, analyst and free-lance writer on Gender, Political and Cultural Issues, will address and interact with an audience comprising civil society organisations, leaders of business and government institutions and ordinary caring members of society towards understanding the root of the rampant abuse and acts of violence against the vulnerable prevalent in our life in different environments and spaces.

On the speakers panel is also Kave Bulambo, the founder of Women Across Boarders NPO. which offers social support and English literacy and skills to female refugees. She has survived war and refugee camps, arrived in South Africa as a teen without matric to earn a number of degrees and becoming a world respected influential leader – sharing the stage with the likes of former United State of America President Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and Professor Njabulo Ndebele, chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory.

The panel also includes Dr. John Tibane, Mpho Mozamane, Lillian Barnard, Linda Yende who is the author of Wakeup Woman led by Ayanda – Allie Paine as programme director.
The event is to be attended by up to 150 delegates from all walks and classes of life, all races, religion and culture and aims to fundraise for hosting of workshops and dialogue platforms to empower, educate and heal against abuse in at least one village, township and informal settlement.
