Bliss Brands, a proudly South African company, has a number of cleaning products under its umbrella brand MAQ; it was thus relevant to honour the goodwill of Nelson Mandela by doing good with their household care range of products. With this in mind, the Bliss Brands roadshow team armed themselves with mops, cloths and buckets as well as MAQ Dishwashing liquid, MAQ Rigor Thick Bleach and MAQ multi-purpose soap and ensured that every surface of the New Life Centre not only sparkled but also smelt fresh and clean.
New Life Centre serves as the operational headquarters for Resthaven Ministeries. It operates as a kitchen which serves lunch to senior citizens during the week. The Centre also runs a soup kitchen, delivering about 150 litres of soup to two senior homes every week. The Centre is also involved in a feeding scheme which feeds approximately 50 children and adults at the surrounding schools.
“As part of our CSI campaign portfolio and to help the New Life Centre, the MAQ roadshow team cleaned the entire building inside and out. At Bliss Brands part of our culture is to give back to the community and to the people of South Africa, so as part of our corporate social responsibility and in honour of Nelson Mandela, we volunteered our time and our products to help those who help others,” explains Jacqueline Jacobs, marketing director for Bliss Brands.
Bliss Brands are implementing a number of CSI projects across South Africa including the sponsoring of Tutudesks to schools that have a lack of desks for their learners.
