LIFT's Golden Ticket Hunt started as a one-day activation in Cape Town, and has grown into a nationwide campaign, with millions of rands in flights and partner prizes given away to date.

Thus far, nine physical Golden Tickets and two online Golden Tickets have been found, equating to 22 flights, worth approximately R110 000.00. In total, 15 physical Golden Tickets will be hidden, with a total prize value of R150 000.

LIFT continues to drop, "Easter Eggs" on socials, providing followers with chances to win physical Golden Tickets hidden across four cities — Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Clues are released exclusively on TikTok. Participants will need to follow the clues, identify the locations and race to find the tickets, says LIFT.

According to LIFT, several locations that have already been identified:

  • Cape Town: Muizenburg Beach (colourful huts), Century City — Ratanga Park, and Rhodes Memorial.
  • Durban: uMhlanga Promenade, Musgrave Park and Gandhi Luthuli Peace Park.
  • Pretoria: Hatfield — Loftus Station, Jan Cilliers Park and Menlo Park.

For those not in the city or on the apps — the campaign also includes a digital component. Every Friday, participants are invited via email to take part in an online hunt by finding a hidden, "Golden Egg" on the LIFT website. Three additional winners will be selected through this mechanic.

The campaign runs all through April, with clues dropping throughout the month on TikTok via @liftairline, concludes LIFT.
